Strong Start Privacy Policy

Effective Date: October 16, 2026

Who We Are and What This Policy Covers

Strong Start Test LLC ("Strong Start", "we", "us") operates the website at https://studioselfhost.com (the "Site"), the Strong Start mobile applications (the "App") and the coaching services available through them (together, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.

Applicable Terms

This Policy is part of our Terms of Service. By using the Services you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide to Us

  • Account information, such as your name, email address and password, or the details shared with us when you sign in with a third-party provider (for example Google or Apple).
  • Profile and goals, such as the goals, preferences, schedule and background you tell us about so the Services can personalize your plan.
  • Content you submit, such as text responses, messages to the AI coach, photos, audio and video recordings, files and measurements.
  • Payment information. Payments are processed by our payment processor (Stripe). We receive limited details such as your subscription status and the last digits of your card; we do not store full card numbers.
  • Communications, such as support requests and feedback you send us.

Information from Third-Party Integrations (Including Google)

If you choose to connect an integration, we receive the data you authorize, only to provide the feature you turned on:

  • Google Calendar, Docs and Sheets: the calendar events, documents or spreadsheets you allow the App to access.
  • Apple Health (HealthKit): the health and fitness categories you approve, such as steps, sleep or workouts.
  • Plaid: financial account, balance and transaction information from the accounts you link.

You can disconnect an integration at any time in the App settings or in the provider's account settings.

Information We Collect Automatically

When you use the Services we automatically collect device and usage information, such as your device type, operating system, app version, IP address, time zone, pages and features used, and, if error monitoring is enabled, crash and performance data. We use cookies and similar browser storage for some of this, as described below.

Information Transferred from Studio

This section applies if you had an account when Strong Start ran on Studio, a platform operated by another company. When Strong Start moved to its own service, members were asked in Studio whether they wanted their information to move too.

  • Only with your consent. If you agreed, the categories of information you chose (for example your account details, activity history, coach conversations, uploaded files, health and measurement data, or subscription) were transferred to us. If you did not agree, your personal information was not transferred.
  • We are now responsible for it. For the transferred information, Strong Start Test LLC is the data controller: this Policy applies to it from the date of the transfer. The first time you sign in after the move, we show you which categories were transferred and when you agreed.
  • Your choices. You can see, correct, export or delete the transferred information like any other information we hold: email help@studioselfhost.com, or delete your account and its data on our account deletion page. Requests about information that remained with Studio go to Studio.

How and Why We Use Information

Purposes for Using Information

We use personal information to:

  • provide, personalize and improve the Services, including generating your daily plan, activities, feedback and coach responses;
  • process payments and manage subscriptions;
  • send service messages and, where permitted, reminders and notifications you can turn off;
  • respond to support requests;
  • keep the Services safe, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations;
  • analyze usage in aggregate to understand and improve the Services.

AI processing. To generate personalized content, the information needed for a request (for example your goals and the content you submit) is sent to AI model providers that process it on our behalf under contractual terms that restrict their use of it. AI-generated content may be inaccurate and is not professional advice.

How We Disclose Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

  • with service providers that host, process or support the Services for us (for example cloud hosting, payment processing, AI model providers, email delivery and, where enabled, product analytics and error monitoring), under obligations to protect it;
  • with integration providers you choose to connect, as needed to provide that integration;
  • when required by law or to protect the rights, safety and property of our users, the public or us;
  • as part of a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this Policy;
  • with your consent or at your direction.

Data Security and Protection

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes above, unless a longer period is required by law.

Google API Services User Data Policy

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google user data only to provide the features you request, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not allow humans to read it except with your consent, for security purposes, to comply with law, or when it is aggregated and anonymized.

YouTube API Services

Some features use YouTube API Services. By using them you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. See the Google Privacy Policy for how Google handles data, and revoke our access at any time from your Google security settings.

Cookies and Tracking Information

Cookies and Browser Storage

We use cookies and similar browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and keep track of where you are in sign-up and checkout. We also store a referral or campaign identifier if you arrive through a link that includes one. You can control cookies in your browser settings; some features may not work without them.

Analytics and Error Monitoring

We may use the following tools, each of which is optional and only active if the operator of the Services has turned it on:

  • Product analytics (PostHog). Records how the Services are used, such as pages and features used, sign-up and checkout steps, and the campaign parameters (for example UTM tags) on the link you arrived from. It may set a cookie or browser storage identifier and associate this activity with your account.
  • Error monitoring (Sentry). Collects crash and error reports, which can include your device and browser type, app version and the page where the problem occurred, so we can fix bugs.

Advertising Trackers

We do not use advertising pixels, ad-network tags or ad conversion tracking, and we do not use third-party advertising cookies on the Services.

Third-Party Sites and Services

The Services may link to or embed third-party websites and services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, email us at help@studioselfhost.com. You can also request deletion of your account and data as described on our account deletion page. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by law.

Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

How to Reach Us

If you have a question about this Policy, or you would like to contact us about privacy, email help@studioselfhost.com. For other questions, contact help@studioselfhost.com.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you, for example by email or in the App, and update the effective date above.
